Profile Heading
Flowers have always been close to the hands and heart of Mark Pampling. He grew up in Toowoomba, a city famous for its gardens and annual flower festival, and eventually found his way onto a career path where flowers and design merged. With healthy doses of enthusiasm and curiosity he launched a career as a professional Floral Designer. This journey has been punctuated by many accolades and highlights and currently sees Mark as a Free-lance Designer, Floristry Teacher and Demonstrator. When he is not travelling with flowers he now lives in Alstonville, northern New South Wales, where he is the co-owner of Alstonville Florist.

With State and National Florist of the Year titles behind him, Mark proceeded into the international arena, most notably representing Australia at the 10th Interflora World Cup in Melbourne. He was awarded 3rd place at this prestigious event with competition items that illuminated his attention to detail and a clean, structural approach.

Flowers and design have also provided access to other successful floral adventures in Japan, USA, Germany, New Zealand, Canada, The Netherlands, Vietnam, The Philippines and Thailand.

Inspiration comes to Mark from many and varied sources, usually starting with Nature’s expansive and fascinating bounty. He aspires to arrange horticultural material with a sensitivity to its innate beauty and to express something new. Mark also enjoys collaborating with other designers and sharing his skills and experiences with like-minded souls.
