19/04/2008 - Success at Melbourne Flower Show
Long hours and intense effort were again rewarded when Mark won thrid place at the Interflora Asia Pacific Cup Selection Competition at the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show. As well as an overall 3rd place prize, Mark also won 1st prize for the Final surprise item and 2nd place for his Art Nouveau inspired wedding bouquet. Mark returns to Park Floristry School in 2008 for another of his popular and exciting workshops that focuses on designer items and techniques. With the support of many members around Australia, Mark has been elected to the Board of Directors of Interflora Australia. Mark is now one of two National Directors on the board, representing Interflora members from every district in the country.

08/12/2007 - Christmas Contrasts in Fusion Flowers Magazine
Mark mixes string, wool and Zantedeschia Lilies to create an unusual freestanding Festive Wreath in Issue 39 of Fusion Flowers Magazine. 08/11/2007 - Mark Becomes an Interflora National Judge
At the 53rd Interflora National Confernece in Alice Springs (October 2007), Mark was honoured to receive his Interflora National Judges Certificate. The presentation was the end of an intense period of qualifications and now gives Mark the opportunity to extend on his competition experiences and give back to the Interflora Community.

Australian Indigenous culture provided the basis for a floral presentation entitled Inspired Dreams at the 2007 Interflora National Conference.
05/10/2007 - Transformations in Philadelphia
Around 150 people watched Mark create a series of signature designs in Philadelphia on 3 October, during his demonstration for the Pennsylvannia Horticultural Society. The demonstration was titled 'Transformations' and saw traditional materials being reborn in contemporary ways.
24/09/2007 - 2007 Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers
The Flower, Food and Wine Festival at the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers provided numerous opportunities for Mark to practice his blending of nature and design. Once again he convened the successful and growing Floral Design Competition, as well as installing a feature display with colleague, Irene Brockwell, and participating in entertaining stage presentations with Floral Design Competition winner, Bart Hassam.
